Will my child have to cry it out?

Sleep training is so much more than just a method. “Cry it out” is an anxiety-inducing phrase for many families. I will never ask you to do something you are not comfortable with. My job is to educate and provide you with the knowledge and tools rooted in evidence-based practices to improve all elements of sleep for your child. Together we will choose a method that best suits your family's needs.

That being said, I cannot guarantee there will not be any crying during this process. Change is hard and your child will protest. Here’s what I can guarantee:

  • You will be provided with the knowledge, tools, and understanding of how your child sleeps.

  • You receive a comprehensive sleep plan personalized to the needs of your child and family

  • You will learn how to support your child through this process to minimize crying

  • You will have my daily support to hold you accountable, encourage you, and help you support your child as they learn and practice this new skill

I’ve read so many sleep books, why should I hire a sleep consultant?

Reading a book AND putting what you have read into action is not always easy. It can take a lot of trial and error to find what works for your child. For many exhausted parents, they just want a straightforward plan of action. Hiring a sleep consultant gives you just that! I take the guesswork out of sleep training for you. The personalized sleep plan I provide for you serves as a actionable resource to make the sleep training process as easy and stress free as possible. I’ve read all the books and stay up to date on current research, so you don’t have to!

I am not located in Arizona. Can you still help me?

Yes, absolutely! All of my packages can be done virtually, over the phone or video chat, which allows me to work with families all over the U.S.

How early can I start sleep training with my child?

You can begin laying the foundations for healthy sleep habits as soon as your child is born. However, children before age 4 months are not yet biologically or developmentally mature enough to sleep for long periods. Once your child reaches 4 months of age (based on their estimated due date), this is when we can begin more formal approaches to sleep training.

Can I co-sleep while sleep training?

Due to safety considerations, I do not work with family's who wish to continue co-sleeping. However, if you are room sharing or looking to transition to room sharing where your child has their own sleep space, we can definitely work together towards your sleep goals.

Do you work with older children?

I do! I work with ages 4 months up to 5 years. If you are interested in sleep help for your older kiddos, check out my service page or book a free discovery call here.

Can I still sleep train while breastfeeding?

Yes! Sleep training can take place and still be successful even with middle-of-the-night feedings. Whether you breastfeed or formula-feed, my job is to help you determine what is biologically appropriate for your child and provide you with a plan you are comfortable with. Some families wish to continue night feeds, while others are ready to drop them all together. Whichever you choose, I will help you reach your sleep goals!

How quickly can I see results?

How quickly family's see results varies from child to child. Consistency is very important when implementing your sleep plan. Some families begin seeing major results within the first week, while others see progress more gradually. Both are completely normal and Consistency is key to your success. My support during our time together will hold you accountable and keep you on track to reaching your sleep goals! When you are consistent in the new routines and boundaries we set in place, you will always see positive results.
